Finally, finally, finally! After much, much, much trauma and almost loosing everything I now have a cool header and a new love of pirates with pink bananas.

He's seen me put mine in and take them out, so he thought it would be a piece of cake. Little did he know. His prescription is so high that the contacts are pretty thick. Also, he has astigmatism so they are not regular shaped. The lady who was showing him how to put them in had him, what I think, doing it the hardest way. There was no way he would get them in like that without being a contortionist. And she didn't have very much solution in the tray, and it kept dropping on the floor and all over the place because it is shaped so weird.
After being there for over an hour I had to leave. I had an appointment I couldn't miss so I told him that if he wanted to stay I could come get him later (about 1 hour later turns out) or I could have my friend pick him up and take him home when he was done. He said he just wanted to come with me. So, we all decided I would take him home and he could keep trying to get them out. She said that if he didn't get them out he could sleep in them and come back the next morning. I can't sleep in mine so I thought that was kinda funny.
He said he was surprised at how tightly they were in there and encourage my son not to give up on contacts. It wasn't the same guy we had seen before. He was super nice and very helpful and kind to come out at that hour. And he didn't make us go to the office.
For the past few days we have been under orders from the City not to drink the water. We have had to boil water to drink. Which, by the way, is Nasty!! We were also careful to use the tap water to wash dishes unless we ran it through the dishwasher with high temperature water.
We had people coming to look at the house today. Because of the water thing we had some dishes on the counter that we hadn't washed because the dishwasher was full. We wrote a note for the "lookers" about the situation. Turns out they really liked the note and it actually helped with the viewing. Cool! (I wouldn't recommend leaving dishes out. But I do recommend honesty.)
While we were there the subject of school and scholarships came up. I was very interested and during our conversation one of the sister-in-laws (SIL2) took me over to the computer and showed me where and what to do to apply for scholarships. It was amazing! She gave me tons of information and offered to help in any way she could. Her and her husband had just finished the process and were applying all over the place. So she knows what she's talking about.
I've always loved being a Property Manager and working in Real Estate. I thought that I would have a Property Management company myself and be able to work my own hours. But, in the last year or so I've been thinking that being a programmer & developer would be awesome. The only skills I have in this area are the few I have learned while trying to get this blog to working and what I've learned from a few books.
There hasn't been any content lately because I've been doing the back end stuff. The last entry was entered after I finally restore my navigation bar that had decided to go into hiding. I had to recreate them, which was fine because it helped me remember some things and more importantly learn some new things. (I was on two other computers this week to see how it was working on those screens. They need some work.)
I'll have to learn as much as I can about using HTML, javascript, XHTML, PHP, mySQL and other programing languages. The more I know these things the better chance I have of getting a job.
Because I didn't think I could get you twice I actually put something interesting, or at least interesting to me, in the link. I hope you enjoyed my "re-blog!"
